Ceremonial opening of the Dacicky House
The transformation of the native house of Mikulas Dacicky of Heslov situated in the Komensky Square of Kutna Hora into a modern educational and presentation centre of the UNESCO cultural heritage has successfully been accomplished. A year ago, there were only few people to believe that the project could be carried through within such a short space of time. The project deadline was extremely strict.
After a testing period, the House has been serving to the open public since March.
Besides the representatives of the Kutná Hora town, Dagmar Fundova (manager of the Foundation Kutna Hora – UNESCO Monument), art historian Ales Pospisil (specialist guarantor of the project), representatives of the contracting firms, organizations and other invited guests, the ceremonial opening on 29 February was also attended by Katerina Dacicka, descendant of the Dacicky family.
The dear guests were welcomed by the hell-raiser and womanizer Mikulas Dacicky of Heslov, embodied by Miroslav Strobl, member of the Amateur Theatre Society Tyl.
The restoration of the Dacicky House is an example of how history can be combined with the most modern elements and the latest technologies.
Come to the Dacicky House and see yourself!
