UNESCO Connects!
50 years of the UN Convention on the Protection of World Cultural and Natural Heritage
The exhibition is organized on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the UN Convention on the Protection of World Cultural and Natural Heritage. The goal of the project is to celebrate one of the most important UN conventions and popularize it among the general public and the entire society. The exhibition explains what the convention is designed for and how important world monuments are protected. It also describes the tools of protection and how individual countries are involved in this protection. The exhibition is focused on several estates in our country, their specific restoration or repair issues, as well as on the diversity of protected monuments.
The exhibition is also enriched with two film documentaries, in which visitors can see the most important moments under their restoration, i.e. Villa Tugendhat in Brno and in the Kladruby nad Labem National Stud.
In the showcases, the visitors can see thematically interesting objects, which relate to the given UNESCO monuments and complement the information on the exhibition panels.
