Foundation Kutná Hora – UNESCO Monument presents a unique author exhibition of Master of Arts and Crafts, jeweller and jewellery maker JIŘÍ URBAN. The exhibition is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic.
Motto: “Man has created arts in order to be able to perceive and comprehend the world; man has created a gem in order to feel more beautiful in this world!”

On 24th-26th June, the fourth annual conference of Czech-American Scientific Society “The Comenius Academic Club” was held. While in the previous year, the hosting country of this meeting of significant scientists and experts were USA, this year the host was the University of Pardubice. The guests were invited to the representative precincts of the Dacicky House in Kutna Hora.

The phenomenon of Museum Nights, on which European museums and galleries, besides permanent exhibitions and tours, offer a great number of accompanying and cultural programmes, was presented also in the Dacicky House for the first time this year. The Dacicky House by night was livened up with children´s laughter. We believe that the event was a great success, as you yourself can see in the photo-gallery.

The Literature Night is held every year, which is a public reading of translated European literature taking place at attractive places that are not usually open to the public. In the course of a single evening, interesting personages are presenting a number of passages extracted from interesting books. The listeners can make their own choice on where they will go and what they will be listening to. Kutna Hora belongs among the 70 Czech towns where this exceptional happening was held.
